We provide American Heart Association (AHA) and American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) certifications at our Gainesville and Ocala locations. Our professional instructor team can travel anywhere to accommodate your training needs. We offer CPR/AED, First Aid, BLS, ACLS and PALS.

GatorCNA and Beeline Medical Training offer CNA Prep Classes. We prepare each of our students to pass the State of Florida' Board of Nursing State Exam for Nursing Assistants.

    BLS is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. The AHA’s BLS Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC). This course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings.

    After successfully completing the BLS Course, students should be able to:
         • Describe the importance of high-quality CPR and its impact on survival
         • Describe all of the steps of the Chain of Survival and apply the BLS concepts of the Chain of Survival
         • Recognize the signs of someone needing CPR
         • Perform high-quality CPR for adults, children and infants
         • Describe the importance of early use of an AED and demonstrate its use
         • Provide effective ventilations by using a barrier device
         • Describe the importance of team dynamics in multirescuer resuscitation and perform as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
         • Describe the technique for relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

    Product Specifications:

    HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning (online portion), in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session.

    HeartCode BLS is the online portion of BLS blended learning. It uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills. After completing the online portion, students will attend a structured Instructor-led course that focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols and skills testing.

      Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) Online Renewal Certification is a three part process.  Completion of the full course includes Part 1 online, plus an in-person skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with a GatorCPR AHA Instructor.

      • Key changes in advanced cardiovascular life support, reflecting the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care
      • Ten adult patient cases with up to four healthcare providers, presented through eSimulation technology:
        • One BLS case
        • Seven cases representing cardiovascular, respiratory and stroke emergencies
        • Two Megacodes

      • Recognition and early management of periarrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
      • Airway management

      HeartCode® PALS Part 1 is a web-based, self-directed program that teaches healthcare providers knowledge and skills needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children.

      This program uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning about pediatric advanced life support.

      • Key changes in pediatric advanced life support, reflecting the new science from the 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care

This fast paced course provides the student an opportunity to review essential materials and practice necessary patient care skills. Students will also complete a practice written examination. Once a student has completed this course they will have the option to apply for and challenge the exam to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.

        Course Requirements: 1.) No Prior Experience Required to complete our course. 2.) If 17 and under, you must hold a GED or high school diploma, otherwise no other educational requirements are needed, 3.) Complete the Pre-Course Module (see below).

        Pre-Course Module: Your Pre-Course Module will be sent as a link to your email immediately upon  registration. This module will give you an overview of the process of becoming a CNA, what to expect during and after class and help answer some of our most commonly asked questions. This pre-course module must be completed prior to coming to class. Email your Certification to cna@gatorcpr.com or bring this certification of completion with you on Day 1.

        Course Length: 15 to 20 hours in three to four days

        Course Requirements: 1.) No Prior Experience Required to complete our course. 2.) If 17 and under, you must hold a GED or high school diploma, otherwise no other educational requirements are needed, 3.) Complete the Pre-Course Module (see below).

        Pre-Course Module: Your Pre-Course Module will be sent as a link to your email immediately upon  registration. This module will give you an overview of the process of becoming a CNA, what to expect during and after class and help answer some of our most commonly asked questions.         The GatorCNA OnDemand online course prepares students to challenge the nursing assistant competency exam in Florida. We provide the essential instruction to register for the state exam, master all 22 clinical skills that you could be tested on and become confident in sitting for the written exam.

        This online course offers a way to prepare for the Florida State Nurse Aide Exam from the comfort of your own home while simultaneously allowing you to work at your own pace. This online course includes the following:

        1.) Three months of access to our online learning platform: Access lectures, video performances of each skills, quizzes, practice exams and more! We initally grant 3-months of access with the goal being that you complete your training within that time.

        2) Access to a GatorCNA OnDemand Instructor: One of the first things you will do after registering for the course is set up a virtual call with an instructor. The instructor will walk you through how to access all of our online resources and answer any questions your may have. 

        3.) GatorCNA Student Manual: The student manual provides guidance on how to register for the exam, a step-by-step guide of how to perform all 22 clinical skills, a practice written exam and additional information on what to expect on test day. Student manuals are shipped out weekly. 

        Steps to become a CNA

        1. Confirm you meet all the requirements of becoming a CNA. Please read the Candidate Information Bulletin for more information on the State Exam requirements.
        2. Register for your prep course with GatorCNA.
        3. Meet with an instructor. Once you have registered for the course you will receive an email with a link to set up a meeting.
        4. Expect shipment of your student manual (and other materials if applicable). Student manuals and other supplies are shipped out weekly. Confirm your shipping address during registration and expect them to arrive within a week.
        5. Complete all online coursework by watching all videos and taking all quizzes.
        6. Complete Level 2 Background Check* .

        7. Register for your state exam with Prometric.
        8. PASS YOUR STATE EXAM.
        9. Once you have passed both parts of the exam, Florida Board of Nursing will mail you your certificate and add you to CNA registry.

        What to bring with you:

        1. State-Issued Driver's License
        2. Second Form of ID (i.e., Credit/Debit Card, Passport, Vehicle Registration, Bank Statement, School ID)
        3. Your Originating Agency Identifier Number (ORI Number) - This number identifies the agency requesting the criminal history check and for what purpose.

        SPECIFIC REFUND POLICY: This is a non-refundable fee. Once you register, we start the process to help expedite the progress of your Background Check.
